Fourth International Conference (May 19, 2010): The Whitehead Research Project announces its Fourth International Conference, entitled "Metaphysics and Things: New Forms of Speculative Thought," to be held in Claremont, California, at Claremont Graduate University on December 2-4, 2010. In keeping with its mission to analyze the relevance of Whitehead's thought in dialogue with contemporary philosophies, the Whitehead Research Project (WRP) is sponsoring a conference to explore some of the congruences and tensions between various recent attempts to return to speculative thought and to reorient the concept of the thing (or object). » READ MORE

Roland Faber Named Chair of Process Studies, Will Give Inaugural Lecture (April 1, 2010): The Claremont School of Theology and the Center for Process Studies are pleased to announce the inauguration of Dr. Roland Faber as the Kilsby Family/John B. Cobb Professor of Process Studies. Dr. Faber's inauguration will be commemorated by a lecture and celebration on April 22, 2010, at 4:30pm in Mudd Theater on the Claremont School of Theology Campus. Dr. Faber"s lecture is entitled "Theopoetic Justice: Towards an Ecology of Living Together." A two day conference exploring topics related to theopoetics will follow. » READ COMPLETE ANNOUNCEMENT

Eastman First Whitehead Member (March 4, 2010): The Whitehead Research Project is pleased to announce Dr. Timothy E. Eastman as our first Whitehead Member. Tim has very generously donated a substantial number of Whitehead's works to WRP, many of which are first editions. Tim's donation will help bring WRP closer to creating the Whitehead Research Interface (EVE), the first digital edition of Whitehead's complete published and unpublished works. » READ MORE

New Staff Members (October 7, 2009): WRP welcomes Ashley Riordan, Brianne Donaldson, and Katie Schubert as new members of the WRP team. Whitehead Research Interface (July 2, 2009): WRP is proud to announce one of its most daring and innovative projects: the Whitehead Research Interface, also known as EVE (in honor of Whitehead's beloved wife, Evelyn). Once implemented, EVE will revolutionize the study of Whitehead's works by providing open access to the most complete electronic library of Whiteheadian scholarship in the world, some parts of which have never been made available to scholars. » READ MORE
